NWX

HiFi Clock Switch

The NWX HiFi Clock Switch employs an OCXO reference clock with -120dB@1Hz phase noise and 8e-13@1s Allan variance — providing an exceptional clock reference for the entire system.

At the switch level, the NWX employs a fully discrete-port dual-switch architecture using industrial and carrier-grade switching chips. Each RJ45 interface features an independently powered, independently clocked PHY chip — ensuring every port receives excellent power delivery and a high-precision clock supply. This enables the clock and switch dimensions to work in synergy, significantly elevating the playback quality of the entire network audio system.

Clock Design

The NWX uses a dual-OCXO with PLL design, including a 10MHz OCXO clock as the internal/external reference clock, a 50MHz OCXO as the VCO clock, and the CelCLK II PLL system using 1Hz locking technology

Main Power Supply System Designed for Digital Playback

Pure digital devices have fundamentally different current and voltage requirements compared to traditional HiFi equipment with analog output stages. To address this, CelAudio has designed an entirely new digital power supply architecture optimized for these demands, delivering exceptional playback performance

Dual OCXO Clock Module

The NWX series HiFi Clock Switch features a clock module with a 10MHz OCXO reference clock offering -120dB@1Hz phase noise and 8e-13@1s Allan variance. The internal switch clock source — the CelCLK II PLL system — employs a separate 50MHz OCXO with -85dB@1Hz phase noise and 1e-11@1s Allan variance as the VCO reference.

The 50MHz VCO clock and 10MHz reference clock work synergistically to achieve a 1+1>2 effect, enabling the entire system to attain exceptionally high clock precision — whether supplying clock signals externally or providing switch working clocks internally.

Dual Switch Module

Dual Switch Module

The NWX features an internal dual-switch design. Each independent switch module uses industrial and carrier-grade switching chips. The RJ45 interfaces employ independently powered, independently clocked PHY chips — ensuring every port receives excellent power delivery and a high-precision clock supply, thereby significantly elevating the playback quality of the entire network audio system.
